there are nuisance laws. I don't think you can walk around naked in your front yard, even if you own it outright. Not even in rural areas, if somebody complains.

Yes people have sex outdoors. But they usually try to be discreet - and like I said, if they get caught, they know there will be legal consequences. Too bad, so sad.

you can be arrested. Even in the middle of seemingly, nowhere. There are a few people who have the luxury of living in the middle of hundreds of acres - but most rural people, even on ten or twenty acres, can be seen by their neighbors. There really are people who complain - even under those circumstances. County regulations can vary, but it really is the general norm that people keep their clothes on and be discreet when having sex.

When I responded about fence posts, I was thinking of land I used to own that butted up against state forest land. If people had begun routinely having sex on that land, I would have complained. Emphasis on routinely.

I don't care about people's sex lives either. For that matter, if somebody who was bored waiting for a flight wanted to find a partner and a quiet spot in the terminal to screw, I wouldn't be much bothered. But this guy not only invaded the privacy of who knows how many other people, but he attempted to engage in sexual activities in a very public facility. Not only was he transgressing against the people there who were trying to use the bathroom for its legitimate purpose, there could have been kids there. It behooves anyone to behave in a way that's at least moderately respectful of other people.
