Chris Matthews and Jim Warren (ChicagoReporter) LIE!!!say Obama Trained in a Militant Madrass!
Edited on Fri Feb-09-07 07:50 PM by KoKo01
They were both ripping Obama (the man they pumped up) on Hardball and the Female Reporter tried to intervene saying that's "NOT TRUE" Tweety came back and said "uh" and let Jim Warren rail on that People who Support Isreal will be very concerned about people who have ties to Radical Islam."

So...Warren and Tweety repeated the LIE about Obama...and to make it WORSE they said...What they all have to learn like John Edwards learned that these stories have to be knocked down in the Blogosphere Immediately!

OMG...They Pump Obama Up ...yes TWEETY did it TOO...and NOW they are repeating LIES THAT WERE REFUTED WEEKS AGO.

Sorry for Caps and breathless...but I was so pissed off about this...I had to get on and post. Get the transcript from MSNBC if you don't believe me....but I tried to paraphrase the best I could so Obama Campaign gets on this.

I'm not an Obama supporter but don't want to see ANY DEM go down over LIES that were already refuted!

15. Yes but
why don't reporters know that 'madrassah' means "school"...not just religious school but secular as well. Half-assed airheads with half-assed knowledge. It's tiresome.

2. Heard it in the 5:00 show
Wait until you get to the part where they slam Edwards for hiring anti-Catholic bloggers.

On another topic--both CNN and MSNBC usually have a (sometimes weak) rep for our side identified as a Dem strategist and the other side is almost always identified as a representative of some neutral-sounding think tank. Drives me crazy.

4. I'm telling you
somewhere there are pictures of Matthews with his d*ck in the wrong place. That can be the only reason that he vacillates between being human and a tool for our eminent destruction. He is unreal!

11. Your first question is a good one!
To the second, there are many people in this country who watch and believe what they see from these messengers. You are very lucky if you don't have family or friends who drink the kool aid, unfortunately I am surrounded by them in my world. I fear that you are wrong that no one watches. Peace, Kim

than Tweety reaches every night

The Scoreboard: Wednesday, February 7
25-54 demographic in thousands of households

MSNBC Matthews: 92 Carlson: 92 Matthews: 242

With 6000000 households watching Sponge Bob at the same time, he is meaningless.

14. audience size has nothing to do with it. weasels like Matthews are
opinion leaders, and their rotten influence spreads throughout the M$M, creating the narrative that has destroyed EVERY progressive campaign in recent memory, not to mention MOR dem presidential candidates.

24. Then they have way more time than the people I know
Tweety doesn't even break 300000 homes on a good night, and NEVER gets quoted except in Media Matters, and NO ONE of substance from the party will set foot on his show.

Who are we kidding?

I watch NBC Nightly news at 6:30 now, and I KNOW it isn't a right wing propaganda newscast.

5. next up: "Does John Edwards have a blog problem? Maybe he fixed it"
'maybe he didn't'

one thing I heard during that discussion is that Obama is going to have to get used to this sort of thing, and be better at responding to it than Kerry was!

all this without mentioning the most obvious fact concerning these "stories:" they're all a bunch of LIES, concocted by the RW smear merchants, and repeated endlessly in the M$M without refutation, until the damage has been done

simply amazing stuff. it's happening all over again

why on earth am I watching this crap

btw, I used to call the Tribune guy's radio show all the time (Jim Warren), and had to give phony ID, so I could get on, because I always challenged the premise of their discussion, which involved M$M louts, spouting the conventional media garbage, despite the highly ironic name of the program "Unconventional Wisdom". I'm getting furious thinking about it. Sad/funny note. I did get to ask Molly Ivins, one of the few real journalists he had on, mistakenly, really, if she thought Bush reminded her of a chimpanzee.

10. and uberCatholic Matthews says he "generally agrees" with Jeffrey!
he said it at least twice, as TJ frothed at the mouth about anti-catholic bigotry, while claiming to abhor political correctness.

neither Matthews or an apparently gelded Ron Reagan caught him on that, or brought up the exponentially more heinous cretins from the RW blogosphere, who routinely lie their asses of without consequence

that was a truly nauseating segment; one of the very worst ever by Matthews, and that's saying something

7. That's one of their most useful strategies: They NEVER stop lying. And it WORKS.
No matter how many times it's proven to be lies, they just
keep repeating their bullshit with a straight face.

9. They did not say that. They talked about the smear and they both
said that it wasn't true. They did mention however that they have encountered people who have mentioned it as if it were true. Then Tweety said, does anybody that matters believe it. Jeez, you will do anything to smear Obama. :eyes:

Edited on Fri Feb-09-07 09:20 PM by Blue_In_AK
at least not in context. I was listening pretty carefully, and it seemed like he was saying the story was out there, but that it wasn't true.

ed. The male reporter called it a BS story, and Lynn Sweet also confirmed that it had been debunked. It seemed to me that Matthews was just pointing out that there are a lot of people who are touchy about people possibly having radical Islamic training, and the reporters were saying that Obama would need to go on the offensive quickly to counter any such misconceptions.

I think Matthews was correctly emphasizing how important it would be for Obama to strike back quickly at the nasty smear attacks he is going to receive.
