Addington has written a memo saying Cheney doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to.
February 9, 2007

OUTSIDE THE LAW....Every executive agency in the government, including the president's office, is required to issue an annual report disclosing statistics on document classification and declassification activity. Every executive agency, that is, except for one: the vice president's office. U.S. News & World Report explains:

Megan McGinn, Cheney's deputy press secretary, says the vice president's office is exempt.

"This matter has been thoroughly reviewed," McGinn told U.S. News, "and it has been determined that reporting requirements do not apply to the office of the vice president, which has both legislative and executive functions."

"Thoroughly reviewed," I assume, means that David Addington has written a memo saying Cheney doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to. He's not executive, he's not legislative, he's a quantum superposition of both and therefore not subject to the classical laws the rest of us are.

Usually their arrogance isn't quite so bald-faced. I guess Cheney is tired of putting up a facade for the little people.

1. Sociopaths feel above the law. Laws are made for other people, not them.
They are superior and special beings who do not need
the same rules as others.

5. When you have successfully pulled the greatest scam in the world, you are above answering questions.
Isn't that clear to everyone by now?
Cheney is confirming it for those who just don't yet understand.

6. So Cheney is "a quantum superposition"? Huh.
And all this time I thought he was a bloodthirsty, oil-guzzling, constitution-shredding criminal rightwing extremist thug.

Live and learn.

11. Cheney is either a wave or a particle
and no exact measurement can be made because he oscillates from matter to energy. But, seriously, he may be immeasurable but he is not beyond accountability.

30. I can think of one very important reason
The typical "crash cart" they use to restart people's hearts wouldn't work on Cheney after Fitz got done with him.

And we really, really don't need another State Period of Mourning so soon after Gerald Ford's demise.

They'd have to get one of those carts they use at the airport to start 747s, and they won't fit through the door of any courtroom I know of.

22. I'd love to see that wave function collapse
I'd also love to see Congress start holding hearings about various Cheney activities.

But the probability of either happening may not be very high.

29. Unfrigging believable! 'quantum superposition' of the law
and the execution of the law! This is too laughable to be real! So Cheney really is above B*...but far from God, and as diametrically opposed to God as is possible. God is the Will of the People IMHO. B* and Cheney are tyrants and should be impeached. They represent the historical need for laws, constitutions and representative governments. Without the historical examples of tyrants, we would have no need of governments. Governments are established for the good of mankind and to protect mankind from the evils of oppressive tyrrancial rule.

THROW THESE BUMS OUT OF OFFICE!

:kick: and R!
