I think that a person is either open to the idea that what we think can make a difference in the world, or they're not. Many people here are open to it, and many people here aren't. I suspect that you fall into the latter category, and, if so, of course you have the right to believe this. I, myself, fall into the former category.

What's being proposed isn't a new concept; it's been around forever. That's why I was laughing about the NWO comment.

WHAT??? I'll agree w/the 'tremendous changes'! The first 10 amendments to the Constitution of the United States of America have been mostly TOTALLY GUTTED! The statement that they will continue to accelerate in a positive way. is a falsehood. What has happened so far is NOT 'POSITIVE' and I refuse to be a party to any of this retrograde behaviour/thought!

unpaid for anything related to what I post on DU. I didn't understand that that particular issue was part of your concern. I have many friends here who will attest to that fact.

I'm just very spiritual and I tend to see the world a little differently than most people do. Hey, I work with engineers, so I'm used to being viewed as a little different. (But they all like me, so don't have a problem with my ouside-the-box way of looking at the world.)

I was my voting precinct's MoveOn.org Get-Out-The-Vote coordinator during the Kerry campaign. I've never been paid for anything except for my programming job.

and others are not. It's a right-wing LIE to conflate "globalism" (the kind the neocons advocate) with the universal ideals of spirituality. I hate to call it "New Age" spirituality but that's the term commonly used. I was confused literally for years by this false equivalence. In reality the two groups not only have nothing in common but are antithetical to each other.
