I thought that my local paper would discontinue publishing Ted's column after all the furor he caused. But NO! A new column appeared this morning. So it is time to escalate. Please help me rid my city of this outrageous embarrassment.

I suspect that was because I posted a message advocating a boycott and another with the email addresses of the corporate officers. I knew they would not like that.

I'll send a letter,asking if he'll consider "balance" and allow a Liberal column.I've been looking for a place to write a column.My friend already writes for our paper.

But I see the issue differently from you. To me the problem is the same as the Don Imus problem or the Michael Richards problem. Once a public figure ventures into vulgar misogynistic hate speech, there is no place for him in civil discourse. Keeping Ted in the Waco paper would be the same as keeping Don Imus on the radio and TV. It is not acceptable.

I did mention in my email that Nugent's accusations of death threats to Democratic candidates,sex with a minor,and avoiding the draft must not set well with many of their readers,and I was surprised the paper couldn't find a more appropriate conservative spokesperson.

You know the demographics here. We are in the heart of Red Neck Country. Ted is on the Red Neck side of all the important issues: Guns, gays, god, and abortion. He could wipe his butt with the Constitution as long as he hates gays and loves guns, it just won't matter to 40% of the population.

But I'm sick of it. And I'm retired. And it is time for me to become a keyboard commando too. I may lose this battle, but I will certainly put up a fight before I lose.

Please compose one email and send it to all the contacts that I have found email addresses for. It seems appropriate to compose a different email for the corporate officers. And if you have the time, go to the web sites without email addresses and find the "contact us" link.

Maybe you could do 2 or 3 a day until you get to the bottom of the list.

This is in regards to Ted Nugent's column in the Waco Tribune. I'm curious, is it the stance of your newspaper that child rape is okay? You must know that Ted Nugent has been more than open in his perverted sexual obsession with VERY young girls. Again, is criminal abuse of little girls condoned by you and your newspaper?

Also, Ted has make drunken, open THREATS against Democractic presidential candidates. Is it the opinion of you and your newspaper that threats of bodily harm are okay?

If you want an extreme, right-wing commentator you could do better than a draft-dodging, abusive and deluded disgrace of a human being than Ted Nugent. Yes, you must know that cowardly Ted Nugent smeared himself in feces to avoid the draft. What a stalwart voice for Republicanism? That's your call, obviously.

Any other conservative commentator would be a better representative of the Republican party, you must agree? Please tell me Ted is not the best you could find.

And don't forget to write to the corporate officers!
