Fred Thompson campaign to run “I’m in” ad all day Thursday on Fox News

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/09/04/344371.aspx

From NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell
Fred Thompson will be up with two 30-second TV spots starting tomorrow. Even though the 6-foot-5-inch Thompson will be a no-show at tomorrow’s Republican debate in New Hampshire, he will cast his tall shadow on the event. One of the ads will run during commercial breaks. The ads, entitled “Debate” and “I'm in,” will be widely released tomorrow.

On Thursday, the similar spot “I’m in” will run “all day” on FOX News Channel, according to advisors. The difference between the spots boils down to a time reference, noting before and after Thompson actually declares.

1. Thanks for the heads up
Not that I was planning to turn on the faux noise channel.

But I might have stumbled across one while flipping through the channels.

3. as an unqualified nobody with no real leadership skills and nothing to run on but tired RW rhetoric,
he will do extremely well, probably win the Repig nomination.

4. Wow. What a catchy campaign ad.
Sums up completely all that he stands for and all that he values.

5. That's what I'm planning to do!
I'm going to buy a block of commercials. Then, I'll pre-tape responses to the "hot" issues of the day -- both pro and con. Then, I'll have them aired just after Hillary and Barak and John and Dennis and all the others answer the same questions in real-time.

Max Headroom is my name, pre-packaged candidacy is my game.

(Fred's counting a lot on his "image," isn't he?)

6. What a lazy piece of shit, phoning it in. Maybe he won't have to
do any Presidential functions, either--just cut misty feel-good videos about general policy ideas, and let the "little people" actually figure out how to implement his vague ideas.

9. I hope he gives a folksy quip in his endorsement
Something with "Bullfrogs", "Preachers" and "Tomaters".

Something like "You can lick a Georgia buck's balls with a tire iron, but you can't marry his mother-in-law's oaktree."

I love when he did that on L&O.
