9. The scandal potential just multiplied exponentially for Repubs...
Edited on Tue Sep-04-07 08:11 PM by Blackhatjack
Just a guess, but Craig's real problem is there are incidents other than the current bathroom foot-tapping charge.

Craig is likely being encouraged by family and friends to fight this. Repubs in Congress probably know or have an idea there is much more muck to be uncovered and they had hoped to whisk him away quickly and quietly before the other stuff came out.

IF he hangs in there, it will help Dems in the upcoming election.

36. His kids grilled him and he denied anything sexual, and now
the question is, well geez, why are you quitting?

He's digging himself in deeper, and inviting all that other stuff to come out into the open.

This story will continue to be an increasingly hot potato(e).

17. Yes, there must be more anti-gay laws you can support, and more homophobia you can spew...
Better yet, get therapy and understand why you hate parts of yourself. What are you doing is projecting hatred you feel for you own impulses onto others.
If you and people like you were accepting of yourself, then being gay wouldn't be considered "bad." Do stay out of public restrooms. Get yourself a rent boy.

41. So to summarize:
-Guy pled guilty to something he now says he didn't do.
-Guy now wants to "unplead".
-Guy announced to national media his "intent to resign" over the embarrassment and distraction over his actions and guilty plea. Leading Republicans all declare their disgust and announce intent to have full ethics investigation.
-Guy now announces he wants to reconsider his "intent to resign" over the new facts that have come to light or whatever in his "case". What CASE is there when you've pled out? Isn't the case over?

If this idiot actually tries to ride out his term, the Republicans need to be held to this ethics investigation, the Dems need to do it even if the Republicans conveniently "forget" that they said they were going to do this.

I wonder what the suicide watch factor on old Larry is. I give it at least 30-40 percent odds.
