A right wing nut roughs up Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel!
What. The. Hell.

SAN FRANCISCO - Nobel laureate and Holocaust scholar Elie Wiesel was dragged from an elevator and roughed up during a peace conference at a San Francisco hotel last week, police said Friday. The author was not injured.

The assailant fled after Wiesel screamed, and Wiesel went to the lobby and called police. Gittens said police are investigating the incident as a crime.

In a posting on a Web site, a writer is taking credit for the attack, explaining that he wanted to quiz the Nobel Peace prize winner about his Holocaust memoir, "Night," which the posting calls almost entirely fictitious.

Wiesel, who survived the Nazi death camps at Auschwitz and Buchenwald during World War II, has worked for human rights in many parts of the world and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986.

1. Ah, what lovely people to right gives us.

I don't believe this kind of behavior is representative of the republican party, however. They may be what we consider evil, but I'd be surprised if Holocaust Denial was a common belief among our opposition. Holocaust Denial is a fringe belief. Even someone as dumb as * doesn't deny the Holocaust... he just refuses to believe that he is capable of ignoring genocide... like in Darfur.

Edited for spelling.

6. Like Iran?
:sarcasm: Sometimes I just love being a conspiracy theorist. It just comes too easy with this government. You can always pin something on them because things happen just too conveniently. :tinfoilhat:

7. You're right. If he's a "rightie"...
...he's way, WAY far out on the fringe. This type of speculation isn't really fair or rational, since conservatives are generally strong supporters of Jews/Israel. We don't know anything about this guy, except that he's a pig.

May God bless and protect Elie Wiesel.

9. Cowardly to attack an old man. But the online writer should be easy to trace
So someone who post online actually is taking credit for this act of cowardice...He should be easy to trace, and hopefully will be brought to justice.

Bless Elie Wiesel. He's one of the righteous.

Hekate
