12. It should enrage me that other countries are

painting swastikas on the American flag. Instead, for me at this point, I look at those protesters and think, "They get it. Our government has earned that symbol for our flag". How can we, the citizens of the U.S., continue to allow our government to act as it has and to do so in our name, behind our flag? How can our Democratic Congress let the administration keep doing this? How do they sleep at night knowing another day has passed, more people have died due to U.S. actions (or inactions), Bush & Cheney are still in charge and more people will die tomorrow?

I am ashamed of our country and am writing to my Congressman and Senators to tell them so. I plan to include copies of that photo as well as a few others and ask how it makes them feel when citizens of an allied country see the U.S. as a hostile Nazi regime that needs to be disarmed.
