It was about 12 degrees in Springfield. Obama probably has frost bite after being out in the cold for over and hour. Great speech, especially considering the environment.

(you had to watch CSPAN and heard the first caller to understand my statement) and I like Obama.

Oh, and they got one caller that thought Obama had changed his name to become a Muslim and other right wing rhetoric, and it was just embarrassing to hear someone sound so stupid. Edited to add: Most of the calls have been positive.

14. That Mike Allen is even considered a journalist is beyond me.

He spent the last 6 years following * around dewy-eyed and breathlessly gushing about "the president." He is disgusting and not very bright either.

I met David Mendell, the Chicago Tribune reporter they are interviewing on CSPAN now when Obama was in SI in 2004. Seemed to be a nice guy.
