1. I have XM as it is
But I'm sorry to hear C-SPAN won't be on Sirius, if that is the case.

Why they spent so much money on Howard Stern and dropping C-SPAN. Jeepers!

2. I have XM too--my husband has Sirius. I hope there is no plan
for XM to drop it too!

7. XM dropped MSNBC for the hell of it,
I doubt they'd have any problem dumping CSPAN too some day.

That is my main complaint with Satellite radio, they alter their channel lineup too often not realizing that some people go with one provider specifically for that channel. It's happened to me with AAR/Sirius already. Cost me about $200 to switch to XM.

11. Same here!
My husband has been pissed off big time ever since Sirius dropped AA. Now that C-SPAN is kaput on Sirius he may be forced to switch to XM.

P.S. I doubt XM will drop it. They seem a little smarter that the folks at Sirius. }(

3. i heard that xm might buy Sirius, or maybe it's the other way around?
maybe if that happens you'll get cspan radio back. I have been hesitant to get sat. radio because i'm not sure who will end up where.

5. do you ever have problems with the reception? One of my friends claims her is awful
maybe it's just the specific place where she lives.

8. Does she live in a big city?
I've found that the local signal is always better than the sat signal, but the local signal only works in large cities.

12. It depends. At home, I have to put the antenna around the corner
of my house. In the car, I took off my car's radio antenna to prevent crossover reception since I run it wirelessly through the radio. (I'm in the greater Chicago area.)Otherwise, it has been fine.

14. ok thanks. I'm buying a new car in about a month and sat is an option
i live south of sacramento so i'm thinking the reception will be pretty good. My poor daughter-in the morning before i put on Stephanie Miller in the car i tune it to NPR in time for "You're listening to NPR" just to watch her eyes roll and hear her scoff.

15. Funny! My daughter asks for the previous night's Mike Malloy
show--she is 12! I usually make her settle for the beginning of Sam Seder, just so she won't get quite so mad. She is already frustrated with her classmates. She said, "Why don't they think? Why don't they realize what is going on around them?" (I guess it is because they don't have moms who think a bedtime ritual includes political ranting! Ooops... ;)

6. It's Happening February 14th
Sirius wanted to interrupt C-SPAN programming for MORE sports! It is C-SPAN's decision not to broadcast on Sirius.
