7 U.S. Troops Killed in 2 Iraq Attacks
By BUSHRA JUHI, Associated Press Writer

BAGHDAD - Four U.S. Marines were killed in fighting in Anbar province, and three soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb in northern Iraq, the military said Friday.

The four Marines assigned to Multi National Force _ West were killed Thursday in combat in Anbar, a predominantly Sunni province west of Baghdad that has seen a recent drop in violence, according to a statement.

Three Task Force Lightning soldiers also were killed Thursday when a bomb exploded near their vehicle in the northern Ninevah province, the military said separately.

The deaths raised to at least 3,760 members of the U.S. military who have died since the Iraq war started in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.

Violence also persisted against Iraqis on the Islamic day of rest.

About 100 miles west of Anbar's capital city of Ramadi, insurgents blew up two suspension bridges on roads leading to Jordan and Saudi Arabia, a police intelligence officer said on condition of anonymity for security reasons.<snip>

4. Add these dead to the surge pile

Grass Bush

Pile the bodies high in Austerlitz and Waterloo Iraq
Shovel them under and let me work--
I am the grass; bush; I cover all.

And pile them high in Gettyburg Baghdad
And pile them high in Ypres and Vedum Mossoul and Al Fallaujah

Two years, ten years, and passengers ask the conductor:
What place is this?

I am the grass bush.
Let me work.

8. Well, it did happen in Anbar Province. How could the WH propaganda networks report it? It would blow
the warmonger's theories out of the water. Anbar ISN'T any better than the rest of Iraq. It's all bullshit to keep their surge going so they can kill even MORE soldiers and make even more money than they've already made.

10. 20 minutes into the Today Show "news" 2 sentences were devoted to it.
Thank you for posting this, the MSM would rather report crap nobody cares about. The MSM is inconvenienced by bad news in Iraq. They do not support our soldiers.

11. I caught a few minutes of CNN's Morning show before WJ started this morning and the ONLY thing they
were talking about was the little girl missing in Portugal and the parents now being suspects. Not ONE WORD about these soldier's deaths.

15. Its odd that homo sapiens still tolerate dauphins as leaders
of millions of their genus.

Very very odd, primitive and disturbing behavior. The kind of thing that can end a species.

19. I assumed he actually meant 'dauphin'.

The named heir apparent, to the French throne.

I thought it an odd reference to *. Perhaps if Cheney is the King of France it makes sense? I've seen drier, less penetrable humor.
