2. He certainly said something to effect that he wouldn't
hold confirmation hearings on any nomination until he got the information he's been seeking on warrentless wiretapping and the firing of the attnys. His stated reasoning was that it would be impossible to confirm someone without knowing precisely what needs fixing in the JD.
