I'm trying to wrap my head around the concept that a greeter would run out into the parking lot to DEMAND to see a receipt. And worse, that a store manager would follow the greeter into the parking lot.
If these were Home Depot employees, the store manager would have been fired for going into the shopping lot in the first place (only Loss Prevention-trained associates are allowed to go outside the store to recover merchandise, and managers aren't Loss Prevention-trained; there's a two-week school in Atlanta you must attend and you've got to be a certified police officer to even be considered for it--our LPS people are either medically-retired cops or fit ones who are sick of writing speeding tickets and dealing with DWIs) and the LPS would have been fired for placing his body between the customer and his car.
Leaving the concept that you can endanger yourself over a piece of Circuit City's merchandise, the loss of a certain amount of which is built into their operating costs, and not get canned for it aside, the guy was being a total jerk about this shit, okay? He didn't steal the shit. We know he didn't steal the shit, or at least he CLAIMS to have not stolen the shit. But fuck, y'know, when You Call The Cops and then go into the I'm Just Standing Up For My Rights By Not Doing What The Fascist Pig Told Me To act, you DESERVE to go to fucking jail.
