2. I look at the faces, see the ages and realize my children are
older than these young people. More families grieving, more tears today.

4. this one was especially touching:
A friend of the family regarding conversation with the father:

"He explained that this had been the longest stretch since he saw his youngest son Randy because he purposely delayed a visit home months ago so he could come home in September and go see a Bears game with his father."

He was due here on the 12th, big parties planned, and Bears game next weekend. Killed on the 5th.

I have to admit it is very difficult to look at the faces, see the ages, I want to look away but I know they deserve to be more than a number, a "comma" yet my heart breaks because seeing the faces makes it all too real. Each and EVERYONE of the faces of those lost to this horrific occupation should be front and center of every American, morning, noon and night, on the front page of their newspaper, on their favorite morning show on television, beginning every evening newscast. If that were to be so, this tragic travesty would be over almost immediately, imo.

I just clicked on your link and I thank you for your work in making sure these young men and women are not lost in the detritus of politics. I am still listening to Judy Collins sing Amazing Grace. Thank you.

nothing more yet that I can find - heres the link:

http://icasualties.org/oif/pdf/20070910-19-MND-B.pdf

it did say there were also three prisoners - thats a bunch of people for one vehicle

To be carrying that many it was not a humvee or MRAP - I thought maybe a Bradley can hold that many - but the description of one of the variants says: "the vehicle carries a crew of two or three and up to 10 dismount soldiers."

So I don't know what they were in - a school bus???

12. They did this to embarass Petraeus.
How dare these soldiers go and die like this when the Great General was swearing that things were much better in Iraq. They went and got themselves killed deliberately just to make the General look bad. Another inappropriate protest. Typical.
