Theres are always billions of dollars in puts and calls open on most all traded stocks.

Sometimes you buy calls, sometimes you buy puts, sometimes you buy both (then you only lose when he market doesnt move)

Most of them are bought by large market funds as hedges, although small investors can buy them to. (I trade them on occasion in small amounts)

2. I am big time tin-foiler but to me that is a stretch.
I still can't seem to put together the Barksdale incident.

But I always assumed that the trading activity was based upon speculation that the markets were going to crash because of the sub-prime crisis.

It was an appropriate discussion. I would have loved to see other more knowledgeable people commit to the discussion.

6. Me too but...
"His interest in exopolitics evolved out of his investigation of the sources of international conflict and its relationship with the undisclosed extraterrestrial presence. He cites evidence of as many as sixteen different extraterrestrial races currently interacting with humanity in a variety of ways, with a number of other races simply monitoring the Earth. "

Bad source for a very interesting discussion. My apologies.
