Simple poll. Just curious what everyone thinks about this.

1. People I know are pissed off
Even those who have pretty much swallowed the whole line of bullshit up until now are beginning to realize that it's all a scam. I think this stinking crap fest tonight is going to reinforce what they already suspect.

When they finally connect the dots and see how cynically it was all done there will be outrage.

I can begin to visualize the peasants marching on DC with torches, pitchforks, and buckets of tar.

2. I don't think so
I know a couple people who are as nutty a wingnut as one could ever find. They still refuse to ever vote for a Democrat and channel Rush Limbaugh at will. It's scary.

They are not into the war thing or Iraq anymore. Whatever dead cat bounce he managed is all he will be seeing in my opinion. The war, for very differing reasons, is not an easy sell anymore.

6. I HOPE it ends up being his "death knell"
I can't see very many people, particularly active servicemembers and their families, rally around this. If Iraq is REALLY more like North Korea, Germany, and Japan, that is, a country without such diverse cultural and religious differences and an ongoing (and deadly) insurgency against our troops, it may have worked but I don't think that ANYBODY, including those people whom have supported this fiasco to the present day believes that keeping troops over there indefinitely is in our best interests let alone sustainable. Whatever people thought we were over in Iraq for I don't think that it was to achieve an "enduring relationship" with Iraq.
