Why are there pro-Iraqi War conservatives protesting in this country?
Should they not be in uniform and on the ground in Iraq? I don't care if they are vets who have served before, I don't care how old they are, I don't care male or female, if there bottom line is that we HAVE to be in Iraq for our future then why aren't THEY there? But I digress.

And besides conservative bush supporters have weekend barbecues to plan for and Christmas shopping to start. Oh the sacrifices conservatives make while supporting the troops.

THE BEST WAY TO SUPPORT THE TROOPS IS BY JOINING THEM AND TAKING THE PLACE OF ONE OF THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Fuck me to tears, I must be a fucking liberal.

1. The War on Christmas needs soldiers.
Therefore, it is imperative that these folks stay States-side, at-the-ready to spring into action should someone try to remove a Nativity scene from a public square.

GREAT post, as always, BH!

2. Okay that makes perfect sense
Thanks My Dear, the conservative trash in this country has given me(us) such great material to work with.

10. Perhaps they all consider themselves ...
... to be "reservists", the silent army that will join the battle when we stop fightin' 'em over there, and we have to fight 'em over here.

That's why Bush keeps making a point of going shopping as a means of keeping the nation safe. We keep hearing about how those terrorists are going to show up at the local mall - where the shoppers for victory will have the home court advantage.

They're NOT shopping for pleasure; they're shopping to familiarize themselves with the terrain ...

13. You are a Gem My Dear
And they are so easy to make fun of. I guess introspection is lost on the conservative mind.

17. The 'conservative mind' is such a vast, empty space ...
... it's understandable that all kinds of things get lost in there.

18. Who do you think you are?
A radical constitutionalist? Don't you know that the founding fathers intent was for baptists to shove their "beliefs" down the throats of every citizen of this country. Its right there in the constitution.

3. At my weekly peace vigil ...
our side has grown to 20 or so.

The same three guys set up across the street with signs like, "Honk for victory in Iraq!" They set up their American flags in the ground around them. One is young, and is prime enlistment material, but he wrote a letter to the local newspaper stating that his "friends serving in Iraq" had told him to stay stateside and fight by countering our peace vigil. My friend wrote a really funny letter in which she suggested that our little counterprotester enlist and volunteer for Iraq, adding that she was sure that she could find a disabled vet to hold his sign for him while Chickenhawk got used to patrolling the violent parts of Iraq.

Here we are at www.peacevigilmurrieta.org .

11. Yes, and ..
the honks of approval used to be about 50-50. Now, just about everyone who honks is honking approval for the pro-peace side (us). Some glower at us, while driving by. One jerk yelled that we were helping Al Qaeda out his window; BUT, fewer and fewer are willing to opening defend this illegal invasion and continued occupation.

16. Now that is fantastic news and brings hope for those on the front lines that
perhaps the will of the people will get loud enough to bring them home before more lives are lost.

4. What part of "other priorities" don't you understand, BOSS?
If these dipshits actually went off to FIGHT the war they so love to encourage, there would be no more keyboard commandos left to fill the available billets in the 82nd chairborne. My God, man! We would all be at the mercy of that damned "librul media"!

6. You are right my friend
I just don't get it. And obviously they are awesome strategerists. And I heard limbaugh once blathering on about how he'd like to pilot an Air Force bomber (where the uniform too of course.) If it weren't for that pimple, the world would be so much different today.

5. Operation Yellow Elephant
http://operationyellowelephant.blogspot.com/2005/07/operation-yellow-elephant-101.html

Thanks once again to The General for dreaming up Operation Yellow Elephant. When I decided in May 2005 to donate a booth at the July 2005 Young Republicans National Convention in Las Vegas to all military recruiters in order to help solve our country's military recruiting crisis, I thought I was the only person concerned.

This really is a nonpartisan grass-roots citizens' initiative to Support Our President by encouraging his strongest supporters to consider serving in our all-volunteer military.

After all, if The President cannot persuade even his strongest supporters that Our Country Needs You , then how can he persuade the entire country to continue to support U.S. policy in Iraq and elsewhere? 'Not to mention the Global War on Terror in Afghanistan and Djibouti and, indeed, worldwide....

9. Military Recruiting Booth at a Young Republican Convention?
So many evil thoughts running through my Hog Head. But isn't it sad that one would even be needed or wanted and most likely a total failure. And yet they practice their excuses.

19. This is a very good question. My thought is that they are probably being paid to "protest."
Usually, comparisons to Nazis are over-the-top. Comparisons to Nazi Brownshirts in recent days, however, have been remarkably apt. We have clear evidence that the Bush administration pays people to shill.
