CALL AND EXPRESS YOUR OUTRAGE!
This country has been turned into a police state. I, for one, am damned tired of seeing cops beat up on the very people who pay their salaries.

This morning, I saw a cop beating the crap out of a guy who was asked to leave a town council meeting. The guy, Snyder, was not doing anything wrong, and he wasn't resisting arrest, but the cop was pounding on him. Let's put a stop to this kind of behavior. We might not be able to do much, but we can do SOMETHING.

Call and express your outrage! Let Mr. Dvorak, the town prosecutor, know that we Americans are joined together, and we won't put up with police brutality. We've got to start somewhere. Start here, with this case.

Here's Mr. Dvorak's phone number: 574-235-9544. Give him a ring.

Here's the video:

1. You witnessed this? You were there?
Looked clearly like the cop shoved him violently in the back, causing him to (almost certainly) fall on his face and onto that (tripod?) he was carrying.

Then camera clearly shows cop landing UFC-style ground and pound attack to man who was on his stomach.

How can you claim "resisting" in a case like this?

Cops and their defenders will undoubtedly say he was on 2.3 of the "Force escalation scale" or some other crap, but... I know what I saw.

Where is this?

2. The clip does NOT show what instigated this incident
And it should be noted that Mr. Snyder has a LONG history of disrupting council meetings. He is a local crackpot who (like some others) throws tantrums to get attention.

It is obvious that the cop used excessive force. He should be removed from the Police Force.

But I wish we could get the whole story.

6. So he had it coming?
A little pounding on his head might knock some sense into him, eh? :eyes:

5. IMHO all that I have to see is who was beaten up...it wasn't Tillman.
Snyder may be some pain in the butt type but he certainly got up and packed up his things and was leaving....why didn't they just watch him go? I loved the comments on tape of the "Oh my's"....Why wasn't someone yelling, "Stop"? Remember Snyder's hands were full carrying his papers and camera/tripod....not good judgement on the cops part. Who were the cops protecting?

7. That cop is screwed
He can kiss his job goodbye. The "Did you fall?" comment is the nail in his coffin and the brass ring for the victim.

I hope this town has good insurance.
