Bush inartfully suggests Saddam killed Mandela.

Bush inartfully suggests Saddam killed Mandela.

In a press conference this morning, President Bush tried to assert that Saddam’s brutal rule over Iraq wiped the country clean of potential democratic reformers — individuals who may have possessed leadership skills like former South African President Nelson Mandela. In doing so, Bush inartfully suggested Saddam killed Mandela:

I thought an interesting comment was made — somebody said to me, I heard somebody say, “Now, where’s Mandela?” Well, Mandela’s dead because Saddam Hussein killed all the Mandelas.

For the record, Nelson Mandela is still alive while Saddam Hussein is dead.

Watch it at link~

Nelson Mandela was a strong opponent of the war in Iraq. Prior to the war, he condemned Bush as “a president who can’t think properly and wants to plunge the world into holocaust.” “Why does the United States behave so arrogantly?” he asked, adding, “They just want the oil. We must expose this as much as possible.”

12. If he continues degrading
he'll flip me from revulsion to being front and center for every news conference. I won't want to miss the moment the most devout bitter-enders can no longer deny their President's cranium is packed with cat litter.

8. One would think that with all the extensive research that Bush has done on Iraq
..both pre- and post- invasion of that country.. that he could at least come up with the names of one or two actual Iraqi reformers that were trampled by Saddam. Oh.. that's right- there was no research.

9. It's also his way of blaming Saddam for the fear gripping Iraqis now
This allows Bush to ignore the constant terror the US brought to Iraq with the invasion, the occupation, the constant bombings, the detentions, the torture....

this allows Bush to ignore the destroyed infrastructure caused by the US that keeps people fighting just to survive...

Bush is effectively saying that it's Saddam's fault that Iraq can't reform from all that democracy the US is spreading...

11. Oh, ggggggah!
Can there be any doubt that Bush is the stupidest fuck to ever hold office? I want to bang my head whenever I run across some idiotic point he's tried to make that lacks any relevance. He's proof of de-evolution.

15. The RW deceive-n-manipulate machine kinda' belched.
:eyes:

It would be FABULOUS if the media actually brought Mandela's comments about the BushCO war to the fore. But, it won't, of course.

17. But there's no time for Impeachment...
Doesn't anyone worry how stupid we will all look in the history books?

Sure Bush is an idiot, but what does it say about a nation of people who let this continue?

18. Sorry, Nelson. Once "the decider" decides you're dead, there can be no appeals.
Please report immediately to the nearest Klan meeting (or if you can't find one, there are college Republican chapters on many campuses). They'll take it from there.

... at the bottom of this article.

http://www.abqtrib.com/news/2007/sep/18/wilson-bush-goals-logic-flawed-iraq

"There's no Nelson Mandela in Iraq," she said. "If there was, Saddam Hussein probably would have had him killed."

Though one might disagree with what she said here, at least it comparably is more intelligible. Bush in his usual stupid, trying to be "smart" way, slaughtered what she said in his comments. I'm sure he was directed to this article by his advisors, as she was critical of he and Petraeus's comments too in this article. He just didn't have the protection of KKKarl looking over his soldier to keep him from doing/saying stupid things this time!
