I am SO proud of my son today
I took him to the clinic for a sore throat. He is 16.There was a young man about 20 who locked his keys in his car as we walked in.After about three hours,we left, and this poor kid was still furiously trying to get the keys out of his car with a hanger. My son said"Mom,I need to help this guy out somehow"..and took one of his PRECIOUS 20 dollar bills out of his wallet.I matched it and offered it to the kid so he could get home. The look of sheer relief on his face was priceless. So was the lesson my son learned today, and the one he taught me.Pass it on.

2. You deserve some credit too!
For raising such a kind-hearted son! I know how rare thoughtful 16-year-old boys are in this day and age.

Good for you both!

3. You done good.
It is great to see a young person demonstrate those kind of values. Says an awful lot about his family:)

4. Consider this.....
Get a membership at an auto club and you can call the lockout service. I've done that for friends at work who accidentally lock their keys in their car. I have hardly used the service for my own personal needs.....

5. You have a great son, and he has a wonderful Mom!
It gives me hope for the future of this country. Knowing that there are kids out there like your son with the standards, compassion, concern for others, and values we need to make this country great again.

I'm sure you are very proud of him, and take some credit yourself. He got that from you.

8. Probably the most important task as a parent
is to mold a decent human being out of our offspring.

You done good, mom.

13. We so sorely need parents like you.

I suppose a right wing parent would have said to their kid "no son, this person has to pull themselves up from thier bootstraps blah blah blah".

25. the fact that we were of different races made no difference to my son-
THAT is when I knew I had succeeded in teaching my son the ultimate lesson...we are all in this together, all equal, all brothers and sisters.
I know you were joking, but in Texas, this is still a big deal to a lot of rednecks.
