Possible Republican Boycott of MSNBC
http://www.politico.com/blogs/anneschroeder/0907/Shuster_Update.html

Shuster update

The controversy surrounding David Shuster's recent interview with Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) continued Friday, amid revelations that the last legal address the deceased soldier at the center of the back-and-forth — Pvt. Jeremy S. Bohannon — was in Blackburn's district after all.

(Does anyone have an extra yolk-cleaning kit for Shuster's face?)

But egg-face or not, Shuster is refuting claims that GOPers are boycotting his show, pointing to an appearance by Republican Sen. Bob Corker that occurred after the Blackburn interview.

"Our interview with Representative Blackburn was Monday. Republican Sen. Bob Corker was on with me on Tuesday at 2 p.m.," Shuster told us.

He also says that Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) isn’t holding out on him either. (Although he hasn't gone on MSNBC with Shuster yet due to "scheduling conflicts"—you be the judge. LeRoy Coleman – no relation – Coleman’s press sec gave us a blanket statement: “We welcome media requests from anyone, while, of course, weighing them against the senator’s availability. We always, however, give priority to Minnesota media first.” )

But GOP insiders say that the boycott is ongoing, and that Republican appearances on MSNBC are out of desperation.

"If a Republican senator has something they want to say, and they're not getting booked anywhere else, they might turn up on MSNBC,” said one Republican source. “But it's not at the top of the list."

Adding, a bit more directly: "Note to David: We're just not that into you."

So I dont have to see these douche bags on MSNBC?
Cool.
Go Dave go!
Maybe we could get them to boycott every television network (except faux of course)
then we'd never have to see them ever again.

2. Why should they go on MSNBC and put up with someone like Shuster...
when they can go on Fux and play softball.

3. That's Fine With Me
The less Repugnican sockpuppets on my television the better. Now if they would exile Tucker to bowtieville, it'd be even better.

I'm perfectly fine with this corrupt party going into the elections and not being able to use these interviews to slander Democrats or their allies (like MoveOn) and spew their talking points without any questioning.

I have to give Schuster a lot of credit. When he first came over to MSNBC from Faux, he forgot to leave his GOOP talking points there. Over time, he's matured into a fine reporter and is one of the few inside the beltway that isn't playing by the go-along, get-along game.

6. The Republicks are once again proving Dan Rather correct.
I think David Shuster went too easy on Blacburn.

The follow-up he SHOULD have asked was, "Can you name ANY soldiers in your district who have died in Iraq? Can you tell me how many?"

a dead soldier to make a point. And I was POOHOOED.

I still believe that.

13. the republics commit so many crimes they will be on all the news stations
no matter what. We are sure to see wide-stance Larry again and again on MSNBC, going in and out of the courthouse. He is hardly alone in newsworthy moments with his fellow republic perverts and crooks. And then there are the bathroom stall renovations and other architectural stories to be shown.

16. Good, get rid of Tucker the weenie boy
and Joe Scarborough, and maybe tweety while they're at it, stack it full of liberals, and watch their ratings go up like with Olberman. There's plenty of right wing garbage on TV for the moran demographic.

17. This is why I finally programmed that channel off of my TV
I can still punch in the numbers for Olbermann, but too many times I've flicked through the channels and ended up looking at drivel from the likes of Tucker, Matthews, Scarborough or Russert.

Finally had the relegate them to the same dungheap that CNN, Fox and the spam channels reside in.

21. Not much of a loss, really. We already KNOW what they're going to say.
They all rubber-stamp the WH talking points. Who needs them? Like a poster said up-thread, when they make news by falling into the big gaping Abramhoff corruption-pit, or dally in a public bathroom with someone other than their wife. . they'll get all the coverage they need.

I say it's about time SOME channel got a good healthy enema and got some of that slime off the air.

23. Sorry...but i'm confused
Tired this afternoon and this isnt registering with me

Why is Shuster supposed to be egg faced if he was correct after all?

And back to the boycott. I wish they would. I might watch things besides OLbermann. :)
But if they are boycotting, it wont last long. They cant afford the loss of face time.

24. If they're too skeered to stand up to MSNBC, how will they stand up to
terra-ists?

Personally, I don't give a hoot whether they boycott MSNBC or not. All they do is lie anyway, so it would be an improvement to have fewer lying sacks of shit appear on MSNBC.

28. Funny that Repukes would boycott a network that desperately attempted to become Fox News Lite.
Look at the rogues gallery that were handed shows by MSRNC:

Michael Savage, Laura Ingraham, Rita Cosby, Jerry Nadler (New York Post), Pat Buchanan and more.

All of those shows flopped big time.
