The democrats are weak. Damn the democrats. The democrats aren't doing what we elected them to do. The democrats this and the democrats that. Damn it! I thought we were the democrats. If were not them, who are we?

6. One of the funniest threads I've ever read: Asparagus…In My My Cereal Bowl
by Christy Hardin Smith over at firedoglake.com

If you wanna' good laugh, read through some of the comments, too.

3. Based on the context, I say they're talking about congress.
At least, I'm not a democrat by popular election.

4. Anti-corruption, open government Democrat, here. And I do battle the wing of
the party that does not hold corruption accountable and will not stand with the citizens' right to open government.

So, yeah - us Dems vs those Dems.

But it's hard for me to even believe that there are those in the Dem party who will NOT stand for open government. It really hurts.

7. The title of Democrat
does not make a person a saint worthy of being followed to the pits of hell. If I feel someone is a DINO, I won't support them.

8. There are plenty of "concerened" posters here
It's become really easy for them to come in and disrupt undetected as of late.

10. I think "The Democrats" is just short for "The Democrats in Government"
But you knew that.

11. Could it possibly be that we're talking about the Democratic politicians?
You know, those saintly, dedicated, "Democrats" who so frequently vote with the Republicans?

12. Yeah, they tell me at the Dem Headquarters, "YOU are the Democrats!"
Edited on Fri Sep-28-07 04:36 PM by Emit
And they fire us up, and this makes us work harder and, if you work hard enough -- prove yourself, you know -- when Obama, or Elizabeth or whomever comes into town, because you worked so hard, you might get a chance to pop in front of the line to shake their hand, or they might stop in with their protective entourage while you're making your hundredth phone call and say "Thanks guys. Couldn't do it without your (free) labor!"

Yup. We are the Democrats.
