Boehner: Using Children For Political Messaging Is ‘Beyond The Pale,’ Unless I Do It

This week’s Democratic Radio Address will be delivered by a 12-year-old boy named Graeme Frost. Graeme was in a severe car accident three years ago, and received care under the SCHIP program.

In his address, Graeme will tell the story of how he “was in a coma for a week and couldn’t eat or stand up or even talk at first.” But, using coverage provided under SCHIP, Graeme received treatment that allowed him to return to school and begin to lead a normal life again.

A spokesman for House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) sharply criticized Graeme’s appearance:

To use an innocent young child as a human shield and misrepresent the position of the president of the United States is, frankly, beyond the pale.

If there’s one thing Boehner just won’t tolerate, it’s politicians employing children for political purposes…

13. The Republiklan party uses the middle class as a human shield
in order to discourage raising of adequate taxes so the government can take care of the less fortunate in society.

5. Just like Michael J. Fox had no right to "shill" for legislation.

Didn't they tell you? The people actually affected by the legislation in question are not allowed to weigh in!! That would be political!! :sarcasm:

6. Think of the childrens!
By the way, this young guy has a really great name (I was going to say "cool" but didn't want to pun): Graeme Frost. Sounds like a character from a spy novel or some wealthy man out of a Jane Austen book.

7. Ya know, I'm really sick of this bleeding heart s**t
If kids like Graeme are not willing to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, why should my tax dollars go towards bailing them out. *I* work a 3rd shift job for the sole purpose of supplying my family with adequate medical insurance, and that's in addition to going to school full-time and working on my dissertation.

Ah-ha! My stream of conscious writing has illuminated something to me. It's all so clear! We should totally do away with child labor laws!!! Then kids like Graeme could work jobs just like me and earn their own health insurance. It works for Malaysia, so why not us?!?

:sarcasm:

It's okay when Boner does it. Blah. Too bad all that hot air spewing from his trap can't be harnessed in a positive way.
