1. How in the world did you find this site???
My guess is that it's a lot worse than we know.

5. found it via ATS (above top secret) and agreed ...
Probably way worse than even those highly disturbing, hell, downright gory photographs portray.

All of the images ... got to me ... I've been essentially in an emotional state since I did the prayer exercise for Stacey earlier, though I did proper cutting of the empathic connection. Thankfully it was between pressruns and I could spend a solid 10-minutes in prayer and medition ... then five-minutes of disconnect. I was raised pagan, I'm a witch (not Wiccan) and I know plenty about such ... my Scottish momma and grandmomma taught me well. But before the exercise and thereafter, I still could not post in Hell Hath No Fury's nor The Straight Shooter's threads.

Then, finding that Burma site sent me essentially over the edge.

*shakes head*

It sucked to be at work, trying to put out a damned paper, and being on the edge of tears. Editors calling me with page corrections and me sporting the noticeably quavering voice.

I haven't any words. I should go upstairs to the sleep chamber and watch some inane comedy on DVD but I just ... can't. I'm not in the mood to laugh. Not in the mood to even attempt to feel better. For whatever reason I'm in the mood to wallow in my discontent. And to message back and forth with my friends about said discontent.

*emphatically shakes head*

Hmmm. Yeah. I'd bet my present mood has more than a little bit to do with the fact I've got my dot.

TMI?

Fuck it.

*wallow wallow wallow*

13. you are correct Tiger
and that's my real name. Fuck it. I have no problem admitting such.

Amberlynne LaStrega.

Real name.

And in real life I truly have long raven hair and have been known to dance nekkid 'round a roaring fire to the intoxicating rhythm of djembes and doumbeks.

I'm drawn like a moth to campfires. I tend to lose clothing as such I do.

So sue me? I might even have a genius spliff hanging off my lip when such I do.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

3. disturbing
The Burmese people want international help but it doesn't seem like it will come when so many countries want Burma's resources and don't care how many Burmese suffer.

6. This is another thing that makes me feel so *helpless*
I've been walking around all day with a Tibetan prayer scarf wound around my neck - for Stacey, and for the people of Burma. All I can do is pray, light candles, and send out messages on line and by phone.

I just wish there were something I could do. Oh yeah, I've signed all the petitions. But as in the case of Darfur, I don't know what good it does beyond salving my conscience a little.

7. Judy ... beloved ...
You ARE doing something ... even if the thing you're doing feels or seems ineffectual, trust ... it has an effect.

If not upon the intended, at least upon you.

I was quite downtrodden earlier. I feel ... for whatever reason ... better now. Even if all that I do makes no difference, at least I did it. I did something. And there's something to be said for that.

That said ... sleep chamber calls. Any who need or want are always welcome to contact me:

10. Disturbing yes, but it needs to be seen.....My God, I refuse to believe
any Gods actually sit idly be while such horrors continue day after day, Darfur is hugely ignored, sadly I feel those in Burma will share the same fate, justice does not always prevail for far too many innocent lives destroyed.
