Freepers want Rush to be given time on Senate floor
I think someone in the Republican Party should invite Rush to speak on the Senate floor to reply to the outrageous lies perpetrated by members of the democratic party.

The lying statements of Reid and others are now on public record and Rush deserves to have HIS rebuttal on record.

I, for one, am going to write to as many Senate Republicans as possible to petition them to invite Rush to appear.

I invite other FReepers to do the same, maybe we can get at least one of them to grow a spine and do what's right.

That’s a great idea.

Get a Senator to read his transcript into the Congressional Record. Let the Phony Patriot object.

Rush on the senate floor would be priceless.

He needs to for the sole fact that the statements by the Dems about him go into permanent historical record, while his counter arguments on the radio don’t.

EXACTLY RIGHT!! If they can invite Michael J. Fox, Rush should be given the same opportunity.

28. Rep Udall (the sponsor of House resolution) could make time for rush
It would be fun to have rush appear before the House Armed Services Committee. Rep. Udall is the sponsor of the resolution in the House and he could have some fun with rush. Imagine how much fun it would be to subpoena the true tapes and to show that rush edited the tape he is using to defend himself.

7. Oh, silly Freepers
Rush would never go to the senate. Yes, the republican side would gladly stoke his ego like they do to everyone else they like, but democrats would actually ask him not-so-friendly questions, which he wouldn't be able to handle. There's a reason that his radio show doesn't normally have guests on - he can't handle dissent.

15. Let Limpballs buy his own seat in the Senate.
Since he's a Florida resident, there won't be a seat up for election until 2010, and that one belongs to Mel Martinez. Not much difference there.

20. Then we should descend enmass and protest to have that filthy piece of shit
any where near our congress. Move On did not get a chance to come before the senate and protest and they have the voice of 80% of the people. rush only caters to about 15. Call our senators and tell them NO...AND WE MEAN NO. OTHERWISE WE WILL SHOW UP TO PROTEST.

He's not such a "big man" without that "golden microphone" in front of him.

What would he do without someone carefully filtering out REAL people to talk to?

Especially a real person who could kick his ass, like Feingold or Kerry or Kennedy.

Edited on Tue Oct-02-07 04:54 PM by karynnj
Though I think there are likely at least 100 more pressing issues he and his staff are working on, I bet that a former Prosecutor named Kerry would have him quivering and verbally out of control in 5 minutes. All without raising his voice.

33. Rush is to cowardly to leave his Fla. compound
he would never go into an environment that he can't control. he lacks a stacked deck.
what always mytifies me about conservtives is that they go around proclaiming how 'rush is right' and what sound arguments he makes, yet they never explain why we never see him in public debates or appearing with opposition. any time he makes one of his rare ventures out of the confines of the headquarters of his make-believe eib network, it's always for a solo interview with a gop whore like ruseert.
why is such a supposedly great debater afaid of critics and compelled to hide behind call screeners 24/7?

40. This time I agree with the freepers. That could REALLY be fun!
We'll start with "Mr. Limbaugh, on //insert date// you returned to the United States from Costa Rica carrying a bottle of Viagra which was dispensed to your personal physician. According to the United Nations, Costa Rica is a hotspot for men seeking to have homosexual intercourse with men under the age of 18. Now, consider: You were traveling alone, to a nation that considers the homosexual tourist trade a major source of foreign exchange, and you are under oath to tell the truth. Would you mind telling us exactly why you had dick pills in your possession?"

But really, as much as I would love to see anal cyst boy squirm, this is exactly the kind of precedent that I feared the MoveOn condemnation would start. Now, the Senate is supposed to condemn everything everyone finds dishonorable? Tell you what, let us all decide what's dishonorable and you just do your jobs.
