Top lesbian tennis coach 'found in bed with girl of 13'
A top woman tennis coach was caught in bed with a 13-year-old girl after starting a lesbian affair with the child star, a court heard yesterday.

Claire Lyte, 29, allegedly took advantage of the youngster while coaching her at one of the Lawn Tennis Association's academies for talented children.

The relationship was revealed when the girl's mother found her daughter and Lyte naked in bed together, a jury was told.

Lyte, who is accused of sexual activity with a child, denies any sexual contact with the girl, who was described as one of the leading tennis talents of her age.

As if having sex with a 13 yr old student wasn't bad enough, this asshole had the audacity to do it at the girl's house. Considering the mom isn't in jail for assault after busting in on them, I can assume she handled it with more restraint than I would have.

Wow. Just wow.

on edit: everything I said above assumes the mom is telling the truth. I'm not convinced of this if she took this long to report it. It's one thing for victims to take time to come forward, but as the mother, she had an immediate responsibility to press charges and raise hell.

If true, she should be treated in the same way a male pedophile would be treated, in my book that's damn harshly.

This kind of thing is why you see a lot of parents as the main coach in women's tennis. Sharapova, Williams, Hingis, Capriati, and on and on. It actually holds women's tennis back somewhat because what are the odds that the best coach for a player just also happens to be their parent? Pretty slim. Sometimes they need someone who will bring more objectivity to the situation as well.
