Has anyone heard anything about OperationMindControl's wife?
I've not been able to be online for a few days. I looked back through about 12 pages of previous posts and couldn't find anything. Hoping everything is going in the right direction for them.

1. Don't know.
Last I read, they were asking for prayers and good thoughts.

2. there was a post several days ago
which said that her condition was continuing to worsen. It's so sad, they are good people hit by
this out of control medical condition. It's like riding the tiger, it really is.

3. I have been following her progress but haven't heard anything for
a couple of days.

I hate to bring this up but could someone please tell me what is wrong with her? I somehow missed the initial threads and don't know if this is a disease, accident or what has gotten her in such poor shape. I certainly hope for the very best for her.

4. Breat cancer. She started chemo and got a viral infection.
Her immune system is extremely weak due to the chemo and she cannot fight it off.
Very tough situation. :-(

10. Thank you for your response. I have been wondering for some time.
In July I was diagnosed with breast cancer, too. So far I have been very lucky - I am still waiting to determine if I need chemo or not - extra long story - so I feel well after recovering from the double mastectomy and the ensuing tests, etc. Right now I'm waiting for the results of an Oncotype Dx testing to determine the percentage of chance I would have a recurrence of cancer without chemo to make a final decision on a treatment plan.

I am so sorry for Stacy and her family. I can't begin to imagine the horrors for her husband and children.

11. Given a lot of white cells over the past few years for cancer patients
Let me just make a plea for folks to sign up to be a blood/ platelet/ white cell or bone marrow donor. It really doesn't hurt and the OJ never tasted so good.

5. Breast cancer
During her chemo treatments, her immune system crashed when she contracted pneumonia.

9. I'm not absolutely 100% sure, but I think it was septicemia.
Septicemia is a serious, life-threatening infection that gets worse very quickly. It can arise from infections throughout the body, including infections in the lungs, abdomen, and urinary tract. Typically a person with septicemia has some underlying issue that is seriously compromising the immune system. His wife as a disease, but again, I'm not certain what it is. All I know is that late last week things were looking/sounding quite dire.
