Wes Clark To Appear On Today Show Wednesday To Address Limbaugh 'Phony Soldiers' Comments
Dear ---,

General Clark will appear on NBC's "Today Show" at 7am local time on Wednesday, October 3rd to address Rush Limbaugh's recent comments about "phony soldiers" who disagree with Bush's failed war policy in Iraq.

Wes Clark will be discussing our efforts to remove Rush Limbaugh from Armed Forces Radio, which is funded by taxpayers' dollars. Our soldiers have risked their lives while serving abroad, and no one should be allowed to label our troops as "phony" simply because they disagree with President Bush's war in Iraq.

Show General Clark that he has your support before he appears on the show tomorrow morning:

If you haven't already, please email Congress urging them to remove Limbaugh from Armed Forces Radio -- our tax dollars should not be used to spread lies about those who serve our country honorably.

If you have already emailed Congress, please tell your friends and family so that we can spread the message and remove Limbaugh from Armed Forces Radio.

Sincerely,

Catherine Grunden
Executive Director
WesPAC -- Securing America's Future

1. It's my hope that General Clark will speak not only to Limbaugh's arrogance
and manipulation, but speak also for the men and women in hospital beds this night who have served in uniform and are broken for it, and require the eloquent voice of an influential man to grind assholes like Limbaugh to powder.

First, thanks for your input. AFN has an obligation, backed by Congressional mandate, to provide our audience access to the same variety and diversity of programming that they would enjoy if they were back in the States. Because political talk radio is among the most popular stateside radio formats, AFN currently offers four political radio talk shows on our AFN|radio schedule: Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity represent the conservative viewpoint and Ed Schultz and Alan Colmes represent the liberal viewpoint. We make our choices based on popularity with the American audience and we don't censor programs. Please remember that AFN strives to provide its overseas audience with a choice and lets them decide for themselves what they want to see and hear. There is no requirement for our audience to listen to anything they personally disagree with. To review the balance we strive to achieve via the totality of our radio and TV schedules, please visit http://www.myafn.net. Again, thanks for your input, and for your service.
