TWEETY!?!? says Bush administration has "finally been caught in their criminality"
Edited on Fri Oct-05-07 07:54 AM by kpete
Matthews says Bush administration has "finally been caught in their criminality"

In front of an audience that included such notables as Alan Greenspan, Rep. Patrick Kennedy and Sen. Ted Kennedy, Matthews began his remarks by declaring that he wanted to "make some news" and he certainly didn't disappoint. After praising the drafters of the First Amendment for allowing him to make a living, he outlined what he said was the fundamental difference between the Bush and Clinton administrations.

........................

“Not so this crowd,” he added, explaining that Bush White House officials -- especially those from Vice President Cheney's office -- called MSNBC brass to complain about the content of his show and attempted to influence its editorial content. "They will not silence me!" Matthews declared.

"They've finally been caught in their criminality,"
Matthews continued, although he did not specify the exact criminal behavior to which he referred. He then drew an obvious Bush-Nixon parallel by saying, “Spiro Agnew was not an American hero."

Matthews left the throng of Washington A-listers with a parting shot at Cheney: “God help us if we had Cheney during the Cuban missile crisis. We’d all be under a parking lot.”

1. The same parking lot? Or like different parking lots?
Would we each have our own?

Everybody knows the powers that be have left W to fend for himself. Mr. CIA Tweety confirming that is not a surprise nor does it accomplish anything.

10. Bingo. What an emabarassment to Old America these people are
I have said it before and I will say it again: Matthews and the rest, as well as one-third or more of the citizenry, are mentally closer to the Germans who allowed Hitler to power than they our our grandfather and grandomthers, fathers and mothers, who helped defeat Hitler.

I suppose one can credit Tweeety for being the best of a bad lot, as it were. Sort of like Rev. Neimoller (if he was a blithering, drooling asshole) compared to those citizens of the village of Auschwitz that were marched through the camp because they refused to believe it was that bad, even though the evidence was all around them.

Which made no difference at all for the German Jews at the time, as I suspect his protestations now will have little effect for the New Jew in Imperial Amerika: Blacks and Gays and second-tier Liberal Activists, would be my guess.

And we still don't know what the Bushies' have planned for their Penultimate and Final Solutions to the Liberal Problem, thoguh I suspect the details will be different from what the Nazis did. Bad PR, you know.

Hooray for Tweety. Too fucking little and too fucking late.

11. Morning, lad. Ever see any of my posts about my wayward daughter's questions about Germany?
Edited on Fri Oct-05-07 08:31 AM by havocmom
Think there is an old one on that subject in my journal.

Yes, too many people just don't care unless it affects them up close and personal. That is exactly the part of human nature that enables bad men to do much damage.

We, the mutants who can see damage from afar, need to find a way to imprint our ability on more of the general population. How the hell do we teach and inspire people to think beyond their own space?

19. Are you kidding? The Bushies have been murdering us off for 1000 years
Edited on Fri Oct-05-07 08:56 AM by tom_paine
Since the fall of Rome. And I am not just talking of the horror of the millions of Jews killed during the Dark Ages, when old-fashioned "bare-knuckle" Bushevism in it's primitive form, feudal monarchy, ruled the land.

I am talking of the plague of witch-burning, which I suspect ment liberal and intellectual-burning, for the most part.

I suspect you're not Jewish, havocmom, but you are a mutant and therefore would have been burned as a witch, so you'd really be in the same boat with us Jews in those Dark Bushie Ages.

My point is that our numbers are too thin, and clearly the masses prefer a Bush-Hitler type over freedom, with very historically rare exceptions, one of which we were lucky to be born into but likely will not die in (unless Old America comes back from the dead, which is still possible I suppose).

And those early "experiments" in "natural selection" by those medeval Bushies may well have doomed the human species 500 years ago. By leaving the tool-makers but repeatedly killing those who displayed conscience, self-awareness, and foresight, we have created the nuclear bomb of a dying species that exists today in what I believe are it's penultimate throes. Humanity may be wholly or mostly extinct in two millenia, or a lot sooner perhaps. We are a hardy species and I think the bitter final end for the species may take more than a millenia itself.

Have you ever clicked on the link below in my sigline and read the book there? This man, using 20 years of scientific research, basically identified and actually quantified to some degree the mental disease which runs in a straight-line backward from Loyal Bushies to Loyal nazis to Loyal Inquisitioners and Witch-Burners, and probably back to the cave.

The Lethal Union. The same Lethal Union that Hitler put together, and Stalin, too, for ANY political philosophy, left, right or center, can be twisted into a justification for Bushie/Nazi/Commie evil.

So I feel more comfortable than ever in my assertions that we are indeed looking at a variant, a less-violent second-cousin to what happened in Nazi Germany. Click on the link, my dear, and prepare to be enlightened and more "mutated" than ever.

And at least they let us live nowadays. 500 years ago, you and I would be dead long before we have reached the years we have today, and the Bushies would have tortured us and lit the torches.

I am off right now to check your journal for the entry you described.

But when the cameras are rolling, he'll smile and ask Zell Miller to come back on his show some other time after being challenged to a duel. Tweety likes his favor curried.

8. Thanks for posting. From this article.... must read!
On a side note: Matthews was overheard discussing his Tuesday appearance on "The Daily Show," which featured a heated exchange with host Jon Stewart. According to one source, Matthews was steadfast in his belief that the debate left Stewart crestfallen, and Matthews victorious.

26. Well, Jon was saddened...
He stated as much. But Tweets, as usual, didn't get it.

It astounds me that this man has had his own show for so long; he's a complete buffoon. Honestly, though, but for the fact that my TV room clock runs a bit fast, I'm not sure I'd even know who he is.

28. I think Chris did get "it" when Jon said that the book was sad, and
Chris just couldn't take that criticism. It undermined the point of his book and at the same time made Chris appear as shallow/soulless as he really is. He was Exposed for millions to see.

BTW... I love your statement about your clock!

22. Hey ProfessorGAC, long time no see!
:hi:

I hope you and your family are well. PM me if you wsih to chat further.

As to your post, your comment "The archetype of sickening displays," brings to mind that you probably would be greatly enlightened if you click on my signature link and read the short book there.

It explains, with statitsically valid scientific information and pychological experimentation/research, what we face, and why people like me who are greatly alarmed at the Bush-Hitler similarity because it is very real and deeply-rooted in the psyches of those who are or soon will be preparing their Penultimate and Final Soltuions to the Liberal Problem, which probably will differ in details from old solutions proposed by the spiritual antecedents of the Bushies.

No exagerration. Now I understand why I have always felt that way but been unable to articulate it. And it is real.

But I respect your opinion, so if you read it, I would like to here your own assessment of it.
