3 Latest Polls Have Bush at 32%
CBS, AP and Gallup all show Bush at 32%. Course Fox has hime at 38% but you have to discount that one.

Looks like Bush is really in a slide. And it only took 6 years.

1. I'm not sure Bush will get into the 20's anytime soon
because the Kool-Aid these 32% have drank is pretty potent stuff and doesn't wear off. They may well be permanently damaged.

3. I don't believe that it's really that high. I'd say around 28 or 29
at the most.

6. I suspect a coordinated effort to keep Bush above 30%, and real # is in 20s
You do not have to go far in this country to realize that the support for the war in Iraq and a new attack on Iran has completely melted away.

The military generals, Pentagon, intelligence community, government officials, all Democrats on Capitol Hill and the majority of Republicans on Capitol Hill, and the people on the street, are all against it and its escalation.

So who is left? Basically the same people who hyped the intelligence and lied us into war with Iraq --the NeoCons. That's it.

Given the focus of the country on the Iraq war, there is no way Bush has a 32% approval rating.

You would be hard pressed to go to any state and round up any ten people by random selection, and find that 4 would give Bush a positive approval rating.

8. I agree. Especially when Cheney's numbers are so much lower.
How stupid do you have to be to dislike Cheney but still approve of the man who is carrying out Cheney's policies?

9. I think the CBS poll really had Bush approval at 27% - if you
count only the people who say they really approve of him.

Yea, I think Bush is pretty dead in the water. But he still just scares the bejeezus out of me because I think he would do something really crazy.

And Cheney is at 12%? So why are they still putting him on TV.

Anybody know about Condi? I have a feeling her numbers are falling like a rock, too.

10. My Gosh. Condi is still upper 40's and into the 50's.
That surprises me.

I just think she is a horrible Secretary of State.

11. After Condi's disasterous performances testifying before Congress recently....
...there is no way she has a 40-50% approval rating.

Even several MSM mouthpieces for the Bush Administration have noted her falling approval rating.

She is more than just incompetent. She is a danger to our national security, since she performs no useful function on behalf of an office that traditionally has protected us by diffusing crisis situations through diplomacy.

We need to get rid of her as much as anyone, since she is out giving the appearance that she is engaged in diplomacy when she definitely is not. At least if a NeoCon held that office, there would be no defending the fact that diplomacy has been abandoned --and everyone would know it.

14. A 12% approval rating for Cheney will seem high if he testifies in the Libby Trial...
There is no doubt that Fitz will catch Uncle Dick in several lies, and that 12% approval rating will seem high after he testifies compared to right now.

I suspect that Cheney is going to remain outside the country until the Libby defense team rests its case --making it impossible to put Uncle Dick under oath.

He is no dummy, he can read what Fitz has put forth so far targeting him. I do not think there is any chance Cheney will testify unless there is a plan to contest the scope of it through the courts and/or there is a pardon ready and waiting for him as soon as he resigns.

16. Yep, there is your real approval number on Bush --27% ....
... and I doubt it will dip below 22% (which I believe will be the same number of people who approved of Nixon AFTER he had resigned office in disgrace).

Some 'true believers' will never disapprove of Bush, even if he pulled out a gun and shot a protestor on TV.

20. Some 'true believers' don't think * goes far enough.
I suspect if * pulled out a gun and shot a protester on TV, his numbers would go up!

Wouldn't surprise me at all.

15. Rasmussen also has him at 38% but that's down 6 points in 6 days.
Rasmussen is always 5 points or more higher than most leading polls.

I find this composite poll to be pretty interesting.

21. Remember, many giving positive approval do not believe what they are saying...
... they just hate the position of the Democratic Party on this and would never criticize a sitting Republican President. However, does not mean they really 'believe' Bush should get a positive approval rating.
