Huckabee hits Hillary on ad

By Ralph Z. Hallow
September 25, 2007

Republican presidential hopeful and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said he is "absolutely confident" that the New York senator will be the Democrats' presidential nominee.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee gets uncharacteristically angry when talking about Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's failure to condemn by name the billionaire backer of Moveon.org's attack on Gen. David H. Petraeus.

"If you can't get your lips off the backside of George Soros long enough to use those lips to say it's wrong to declare a sitting general ... guilty of treason," the 2008 Republican presidential hopeful said, "how would you ever expect to have the support of the very military you might have to send into deadly battle?"

2. Huckabee does not believe in evolution..nuf said
How can he possibly be credible on the simplest of issues... not too mention leading the country.

"If you want to believe that you and your family came from apes,
that's fine. I'll accept that I just don't happen to think that I did."

What even more shameful is.. there are people who actually take Huckabee seriously (???!!!!)

3. They lose all reason when it comes to her and even liberals in general
Someone on the radio was talking about how they were voting for Guilani. They gave decent enough reasons for why. At least they were sane reasons. Then the same caller started talking about how Hillary, like most liberals, didn't know right from wrong and good from bad etc. He literally seemed to think we're all sociopaths. I mean that IS the definition of a sociopath, isn't it?

It's amazing how they seem to believe this stuff.

Really, how much does Hillary REALLY have to do with Soros that such a comment is warranted.

6. He doesn't fail to recognize; he just doesn't care
He has no chance in that voting bloc anyway, so he couldn't care less about how his message is received by progressives (i.e., decent human beings).

5. Not a Hillary fan, but this is a scumbag, anti-American thing to say
Edited on Fri Oct-05-07 06:35 PM by jgraz
She might end up being Commander in Chief, and to try to preemptively undermine her authority is pretty close to treason in and of itself.

Someone needs to ask Huckleberry why he's trying to undermine civilian control of the military.

7. First of all, the republicans have NO RIGHT using a phrase like sending military into deadly battle
in THAT tone. They've been sending them into battle since 2003, not to mention Viet Nam.

Second, the republicans talk like they're in grade school. Hell, we can talk like that here at DU, but when you're running for president, Mr. Hobo Look-a-like, try not to sound like a 5th grader. Oh wait, you are like a 5th grader.

8. This is a really weird, juvenile attack. Most normal (I don't mean us, LOL!) American voters
don't even know who Soros is, let alone that he has anything to do with Clinton. Huck also thinks our Senators and Presidents should bow before the military to secure their cooperation, which shows he is not quite clear on Constitutional basics--he's as dangerously stupid as Chimpy. I've said it before--Huckabee is creepy, and not the sharpest knife in the drawer, despite the fact the he's glib and personable. Hillary outraised him 27 to 1--I think she'll get the last laugh.
