The Busholini Regime will surprise everyone.
A few months before the Election they will draw down around 100,000 Combat Troops out of Iraq. They will leave around 60,000 on their "Enduring Bases", the Green Zone & the Embassy. 120,000 contractors will remain in Iraq. Iraq will be called a success, just as Afghanistan was. The Dems will not have Iraq as an issue for the Election, as they are counting on now.

2. Why do you hope so?
Less killing of US Troops?

12. Huh? I didn't say I hoped so. I agreed with your suspicion, that there
will be some sort of marginal drawdown to attempt to diffuse the issue in the election. My hope, or wish would be that they would all leave.

6. My thought
too, take them out of Iraq and start the war in Iran. Leave it all for a dem Pres, if there is indeed an election.

8. The Dems would most likely lose the Pres. bid.
The way things are shaping up the Dems are losing respect rapidly. With the Iraq situation not being a cause the '08 Elections could be a loss.

9. Too late
I'm sure they'll fool no more than 20% with this.
And those are brain dead to start with.

11. I reverse that. 80% of the American public are oblivious to
politics. TV soundbytes is mostly what they hear then mostly ignore.

10. It would be obvious Bushco was playing with soldiers' lives
for political gain; still, I wouldn't put it past them one bit.

13. It would be obvious to around 20% that are paying attention.
Sometime we here cannot imagine how ignorant most Americans are about what is going
on politicaly.

14. I tend to agree
It would be obvious, but I think they could pull it off.

15. Most of the stuff they've pulled has been obvious. They smirk
about it, AND they get away with it.

16. The ruling Dems in Congress are gambling on Iraq.
They just might lose. In the meantime, US Troops die & get maimed.
