PKK rebels cross border to kill Turkish soldiers

The Turkish military has sustained heavy losses in clashes with Kurdish fighters from the separatist group, PKK.

Thirteen Turkish soldiers were killed in the an attack close to the country's border with Iraq.

Only one PKK fighter was killed before the Kurds fled back to northern Iraq.

The latest ambush is likely to increase military pressure on the Turkish government to send troops across the border.

1. The PKK are a former Communist group. They seem to want

an all out war with Turkey. I suspect that they may get one soon. The Busholini Regime will not fight for them against Turkey.

2. It is interesting that the news source characterized the losses

as "heavy"...surely a tragedy for the families, but in no way heavy compared to what will happen to both sides if Turkey decides to try and put a permanent end to their cyclical engagements with the PKK.
