Do you ever feel just burned out? Yesterday I found the DVD "Roger and Me"
at my local library. I've always wanted to see it.

But then, I decided I just don't want to see it right now. So I returned it and checked out "Gilligan's Island" instead.

6. If you're down to your last bit of optimism, DON'T watch "Roger and Me"
Despite the reviews that say things like "Funny!" "Irrelevant!" "Best New Filmmaker!", "Roger and Me" is a thoroughly depressing film.

Moore chronicles nothing less than the downfall of the American manufacturing empire through the greed of CEO's, rampant globalization and anti-unionism.

I felt so sorry for the people of Flint, MI.

7. Yes, that's about where I am right now, "down to your last bit of optimism."

That movie was made, what, about 20 years ago? Wonder how Flint is doing now? No, I take that back. I don't want to know.

8. I know exactly how you feel...
The Ghosts of Abu Gurab is still on my DVR; I haven't seen Sicko yet, and I can hardly even bring myself to sit through the whole evening of Stewart/Colbert/Olberman.

I can't even get into a good movie that's not a wacky slapstick comedy. This weekend we settled on watching Galaxy Quest again. That's as heavy as I can deal with these days.
