13. excellent description of them! the fact they try and make money on the site is a great description
one of my former friends, who backed me and supported me emotionally (I'm gay), now reads that crap, and sent me a link accidentally (I was apparently on his group list still) from them, which made me sad, because I know he's drinking their koolaid and believing in their lies. he used to march in antiwar rallies and now's a right winger. depressing.

7. Did you ever vote in one of their 'online polls'? That gets you on their email list.
I did it once and started receiving their crap. If you look in their emails, there used to be a 'unscribe' link to get off their lists.

16. Do you know how to use "e-mail filtering" in your e-mail program?
If so, try looking for a "remove" check box at the bottom of one of the e-mails, and if that doesn't work, make a filter that sends anything from them either directly to the trash or to a special folder that you will need to dump a few times per week.

If you're still confused, post the question "how do I set up filters in my e-mail" in the "Computer Help and Support" Group here at DU, you'll most likely get 5 or 6 good responses tonight on how to do that. We have a lot of very smart people, here at DU, who know a lot about computers.
