Retirement can be so much fun...
Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make
their days interesting.

Well, for example, the other day I went down town and
into a shop. I was only there for about 5 minutes and
when I came out there was a cop writing out a parking
ticket.

I said to him, "Come on, man, how about giving a
retired FBI person a break"?

He ignored me and continued writing the ticket.

I called him a "Nazi."

He glared at me and wrote another ticket for having
worn tires.

So I called him a "doughnut eating Gestapo."

He finished the second ticket and put it on the
windshield with the first. Then he wrote a third
ticket.
This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused
him the more tickets he wrote.

Personally, I didn't care. I came down town on the bus
and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a
bumper sticker that said "Guiliani '08."

I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired. It's
important to my health.

3. I enjoy not being on a clock
But retirees don't get weekends or holidays or days off. Its just constant retiree business 24/7. Count all the bees in the hive!!

If you are young and not close to retirement and are pissed at reading a brief description of my life, open a Roth IRA ASAP and feed it as regularly as possible.

Great story N.A.T. Ya can't beat having a little fun (and a little Budweiser.)

7. Priceless!
I'm retired, too, and little things like what you did are great fun, aren't they? My husband and I were at the drugstore not too long ago, and while browsing through the magazine rack, there was one which had Lord Pissypants on the front cover. I turned them around backwards, and then took them and placed each one behind other magazines. I've forgotten which publication it was, but it wasn't a liberal one.

12. I am retired too....and it is beyond great and beyond
the fun i ever thought it would be...best time of my life, I say! I used to mess up the bumper stickers on cars the said I heart my poodle, etc. Had a bunch of stickers with a picture of a screw on them...and would stick it over the heart so it said "i screw my poodle"...you never got to see the persons reaction though..probably took them days to notice it...but one can imagine. Yep, retirement is a hoot...also leaves lots of time for community involvement, going to demonstrations and marches to end the war, etc. and just that feedom to be captain of ones own ship of life...and to meet new and intersting and like minded people...and to just, each day, decide what I will do with my time and when I will do it. It is the best!
