not being snarky but he strikes me as confused and not just as in "He's way over his head" but i mean like some kind of dementia. Fred looks like he firing on about 3 of 8 cylinders.

13. Some people do not respond well to chemotherapy --(he has lymphoma in remission)
He certainly does not look sharp, engaged, and ready to take on the Democratic Nominee.

14. He has cancer, It is in remission.
And he probably feels like crap most of the time. The chemo probably took a lot out of him. I don't understand. When Elizabeth Edwards was announced with bone cancer in remission the jackassed republicans couldn't post enough negative stuff about Edwards staying home with her.

But rudi had prostate cancer, is in remission. Old Fred had lymphoma cancer, it is in remission. NARY A DAMN GUM WORD ABOUT IT FROM THE RIGHT WING CRAP SPEWERS.

17. He has cancer and chemo drugs will
Edited on Tue Oct-09-07 10:13 PM by junofeb
mess you up and make you mentally sluggish (both of my parents complained of this when they were treated for the cancers that eventually killed them). If he is in any chronic pain, this will probably manifest as mood swings and confusion. His on going cancer treatment should (in a realistic world) put him out of the running on health issues alone; I suspect he will make less and less sense as the campaign goes on. There *should* be full disclosure of his meds. We don't need a geezer on oxy or demerol in office.

Edit to acknowlege post above, that he is in remission, I hadn't heard that, thanks... I still stand on what I said tho, chemo fog hangs on for a very long time after the treatment, and the cancer could come back at any time....

18. I agree
He looks tired and really doesn't seem to have much of a spark. He seems thinner, too.

He really should be focusing on his health and spending more time with his family. I suppose there is that lure of the possibility that the presidency will be handed to him and he can play like Bush and sleep late, go on vacation and let his VP make all the decisions.

19. Entering the race may be symptomatic.
He was bored with the other candidates, he said, so he jumped in.

His job is making the nominee, Cheney, look young  and--perhaps you are on to something here--less demented too!
