Bush pushes for telecom immunity
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2007-10-10-bush-eavesdropping_N.htm

WASHINGTON — President Bush warned on Wednesday that a bill making its way through Congress to extend the government's surveillance authority would "take us backward" and that he would not sign it in its present form.

Bush said any bill must grant retroactive immunity to U.S. telecommunications companies that allegedly helped conduct electronic surveillance without court orders.

He also said the bill "must keep the intelligence gap firmly closed."

The president said the draft bill, as taken up by the Democratic-controlled House Intelligence and Judiciary committees, "instead of making the Protect America Act permanent would take us backward."

Under pressure to close what Bush officials called a dangerous gap in intelligence collection, Congress hastily passed a temporary bill in August before leaving Washington for a summer break.

4. A lot of people do...
It's part of my balanced portfolio too. I don't think that's a big deal, unless he is stupid enough to put all his eggs in one basket.

7. Busholini's Attorney told him that this is dangerous.
If Telecoms can be sued they will provide proof that Busholini & his Junta requested
that they spy on American Citizens, The Media, & Congress, both Dems & Repugs.
