maybe it's to keep her from doing just that!

It's kind of funny, but I can't help but wonder if she fully realized just how visible that would be. It's hard to hide gum-chewing for very long. Even if you stop chewing it, you can't stand it sitting still in your mouth and have to at least move it to the other side... then when you're trying to move it, you chew it a little bit to get it back in shape. I think Speaker Pelosi is experiencing that exact problem.

25. I was thinking the Democrats had a game of sorts going..applauding
& standing when deemed appropriate, but the looks on their faces didn't fit....Pelosi plus others made some strange faces. Maybe just me.

I think they had to play the standing/clapping game to not to be crucified by the press for days. They shouldn't care and probably don't, but we need the press reporting more important stuff than perceived disrespect for a traditional event.

Maybe a joke on George.....He looked like he thought they liked him and liked what he was saying. I don't think they did. MHO
