not to make light of the plight over water in the South East, especially Georgia, but the area is facing historic water shortages and a drought of historic proportions

The drought incidentally follows the PATTERN that suggests global warming is accelerating

So the first people who may run out of water first are ... those who in many cases deny this is occuring

Yep, if god exists, he\she\it has a hell of a sense of irony.

4. Indeed...
A man walks into a tailor to get a new suit made. "But it's got to be the finest ever made," he says. "The finest cloth, the finest, stitching, the finest liner."

"Of course, but this will take time, you understand," replies the tailor.

One week later the man comes to the tailor to ask if his suit is ready. "not yet, not yet," he replies. These things take time."

Two weeks pass and the man gets the same reply. A month...two months...three months...

After six months the man storms into the tailor's shop shouting, "where is my suit?!? It's been six months and you haven't finished a thing. Even God could make the world in six days!"

The tailor looked up from his work and replied, "Of course, but look at the state of the world. But now this suit..."

5. Running out of water, running out of fuel
the water wars coming are going to make the oil wars look like children playing chicken on the playground.

6. Georgia has experienced three long term droughts
since 1680 (see Stooksbury...state climatologist). The reason we are running out of water is that the population of GA has grown from under 4 million in the 60's to over 8 million today (most of that in the ATL region) and the water sources have remained constant.

This water shortage is much less about drought and climate change than it is popluation growth, poor water management and a need for greedy SOB's to have a green yard in an arid climate.
