I suspect when he's talking about putting a hold on a bill, he's talking about the ability of all senators to place a hold on a bill to stop it from consideration. They Don't have to have any reason to do it. They can even do it anonymously.

If that's what this is, I'm thrilled. He couldn't have done anything more powerful to gain a boatload of street cred for his presidential election.

I thank him and if I have any money left at the end of the week, I might even send him what I can afford.

THis is what Dodd is about. Whether you have another horse in the race or not Dodd deserves appreciation for his dedication to restoring our constitutional rights.

I sound like a broken record but I cant recommend his compilation of his father's letters enough. It is a quick and moving read. Hardly anyone knows that his father was the prosecuter that got the best of Goering. If their was any fairness in political coverage this would be mentioned in the media all the time.

I was glad to sign it and send my message. Dodd has been my number one pick for months because he understands best the threat our nation faces from right wing fascism.

Dodd is also doing the best job so far of offering to cut extravagant weapons systems we'll never need. Everything will come down to money in the end and something has to go. The insane multi-trillion dollar plans of the military industrial complex should go first. Otherwise, money will be taken away from health care.

He was talking about his new book titled, Letters from Nuremberg: My Father's Narrative of a Quest for Justice.

It seems Dodd's father wasn't afraid to dig for the truth. Maybe Dodd could be a chip off the old block.

His assessment that it has been undermined (Chapter 1 Nuremberg Undermined) is spot on too. I think that is what is driving him now. His father set the standards. The bush administration has undermined it. He is determined to fight and restore the constitution. He's not going to pussy foot around and triangulate on it.

I know this going to sound terrible, but I kind of disregarded Dodd only because when I heard he had really young children I pictured him as one of these old politicians who got himself some trophy wife. ..But on the View yesterday they showed a picture of his family. ...His wife looks like a down to earth woman in her fifties. ...I got a very good impression from him yesterday.

Even as I sign this electronic petition, I may be monitored by my own government. Yet, this is so important, I am willing to take that risk.
