If anything, the book that could be published is, "The Arrogance of Being American".

Geez, how aweful is that?

You're not reading my mind.

That book (about us) would be far worse an evaluation of OUR character because we had everything necessary to avoid being participants, explicit or otherwise, in the American empire. We had EVERYTHING we needed, all the information and resources, to stop the ship from running, at least.

We have no more power today than an Iranian does over the Mullah. Our votes don't count ... our "President" ignores us, as does the House and Senate. Where is our ability to do anything? Even a national strike (given the size of the country) would be nearly impossible to put together.

I put the term 'Good Germans' in quotes to allow that I understand the term's implications and historical references perfectly.

And I bet there isn't a single one among DU's active, sincere membership.

and so have to keep mouth shut for various reasons, I would say yes. Outside of the workplace environment, I am not a good German.
