Why did Sadr "escape" to Iran ?
CNN had it as a breaking story. The young ayatollah had left Sadr City and had gone into Iran? Why would he do such a thing? No doubt the "surge" was intended to "lessen his influence". It appears some friendly advisers gave him a heads-up and he decided to get out while he could. In Iran, he will live to fight another day - and he will...

1. CNN had Michael Ware on last night, who pretty much reported that this
is a non story.

- first Sadr has family in Iran, which he has visited before
- second Sadr can do "his work" from anywhere
- third, Sadr might be in Iraq, and BushCo is trying to force to reveal his location
- forth, Ware said who can believe BushCo, as everything they have said so far has been false.

9. Bingo city!
Quite frankly, if the Bush admin says it then it's a lie.

2. From what I saw, "escape" was Blitzer's term given to him
by unnamed US sources. He tried like hell to get Michael Ware to sensationalize it, it was hilarious! Ware didn't bite.

4. Ware also reported that this "Breaking News" happened 2-3 weeks ago.
Poor Wolfie - he is getting so unimportant that he has to re-cycle old news as Breaking news.

Add to that the slap down by Lou Dobbs last week during the 24/7 CNN Busty Dead White Girl coverage with a lead into his show promise to have NO Anna Nicole Smith coverage for one full hour. Wolfie looked like he has been hit between the eyes and then, swear to god, he didn't miss a beat, "reported" that Anna Nicole Smith was dead and proceeded to re-hash the same info that he had been reporting for the previous three hours. "Smith dead. What do we know new? Nothing. Smith dead. What do we know new? Nothing. Smith dead..."

Still don't like Dobbs but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

6. Wolfie needs to move on over to Faux
Have you noticed that the "Just In" with alert! sound effects always arrives at the same time each day? That's quite a skill to always have the new stuff rehashed according to the clock!

Last night, I could decide whether Michael Ware was awakened from a deep sleep by a call from Bluster Boy or ...interrupted while enjoying a good bottle of wine. He knew his stuff, but just seemed irritated at the stupidity and attempts to OMG!!! by Blitzer.
