,...we are choosing to give up rights and liberties so damn many fought to give to us, and let go of any pursuit of economic and social equality; forget about a shot at being something more and better than what we have been, and dread the future our children and grandchildren will face.
If we resist taking a stand, together, on enforcing the most basic structure of our democratic nation, where do we stand on all else that branches from that?
What do we teach our children: "obey the law,...until you are in power,...then, grab everything you can get because that is how you survive in this country, my child"?
If uniting against those who have TAKEN power over this country and PLANNED a means of betraying its people and its COTUS and its congress and its laws is treated as 'politically inexpedient', explain to me how the whole fabric of this country is no longer 'politically inexpedient'.
Those who have blatantly violated you and me, our families, our soldiers, our friends and neighbors, our communities and states and nation,...have, apparently, invested NOTHING in consideration of the fact they are not only being OH SO CLEVER in their plans to by-pass U.S. laws and pfffft whatnots like the COTUS or Geneva Convention or humans rights stuff.
Actually, if you can imagine, these folks,...well, they actually feed themselves (their oblivious violations of Americanism) upon thoughts that, somehow, you and me and we all DESERVE to be SPENT in their plans because we are dumb/small/stupid/expendable nothings given a purpose and meaning in this life. That is how they have treated us with a smirk, no less.
Anyone suggesting that WE should do anything short of "FULL PROSECUTION UNDER THE LAW" just,...floors me. I'm not kidding. I see very young children being treated with far less tender gloves, damn it. Where are the mature and rational adults in this matter?
But, here's the thing. Being united against those who violate the fabric of this country requires more than anger over the violations (OMG, I don't believe the whole of humanity could unleash the horror without being overcome by it).
Being united requires our willingness to take a stand for eachother. It's an act of selflessness that benefits everyone. Taking a united stand against those who have violated all of us will be the most impactful action any one of us could do.
That's all.
