Let me translate what you just said for our readers. Many liberals have enough humility to entertain the idea that their interpretation of the Bible and world might not be correct and many conservatives arrogantly assume that their beliefs are the "absolute truth." The real "absolute truth" (not the pretend version) is beyond our ability to know and righteousness can be attempted, not obtained by some non-rational adherence to superstition that has nothing to do with the principles of Jesus or the truth. Or to quote Jesus: “If you were blind, you would not have sin. But now that you say, 'We see,' your sin remains” (John 9:41).

and implored us not to judge or cast the first stone.

That stuff seems so fundamental and simple, yet, often forgoten...
