I was glad to read this. It is from October 9, and I missed it. Glad to see him putting some perspective on the primary situation.
There are two lawsuits going against Dean and the DNC, and I am glad he is not taking part in them. The ones who filed the two suits say it is just the beginning. Glad someone is talking common sense.
Wexler doesn’t like suing other DemsU.S. Rep. Robert Wexler, D-Delray Beach, isn’t shy about filing lawsuits. But he didn’t join Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson’s recent litigation against the Democratic National Committee over Florida’s Jan. 29 presidential primary because “I did not go to Washington to sue Democrats.”
Speaking this afternoon to a town-hall-style gathering of more than 400 organized by the Delray Beach-based Citizens For Social Responsibility, Wexler said he thinks the controversy over the Jan. 29 primary is overblown.
“I honestly don’t understand what the commotion is all about,” Wexler said. Even if the national party doesn’t recognize Florida’s delegates, Wexler said the candidate that wins in Florida will get “an enormous boost” from the primary and likely go on to win the Democratic nomination. The nominee will then recognize Florida’s delegates, Wexler predicted.
