3. Here's the Amazon write up about it.
*Starred Review* Despite its inflammatory title, this book offers a thoughtful exploration of the vitriol of conservative commentators in the media and their effect on the broader society. Spence, an attorney who has represented Karen Silkwood and Randy Weaver of Ruby Ridge fame, lambastes Nancy Grace, Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, and other conservative commentators. While they attack liberals and others with whom they disagree, they don't dare attack their corporate sponsors, who commit all manner of misdeeds. Spence cites troubling parallels between the propaganda of Fascist Mussolini and Nazi Hitler and what he calls "corporacy," the growing corporate ownership and control of the media and American thought and discourse

I already have several books I haven't had time to read, but hmmm...I might have t spend the $10.17 on this one anyway!

8. The latter half is fantastic.
The first chapter about Grace was interesting, but the other 3 are just re-hashes of those tired old hatemongers that Al Franken, Joe Conason, Eric Alterman and a few others have written already.

But later, he goes into the ramifications of what happens when vitriol like this goes unchallenged for so long. How the country gets split into camps, and distracted from the takeover from those that really want us distracted.

He goes into what REALLY happened in the Stella episode (The woman who spilled McDonald's coffee and was awarded millions in damages), that got lost amongst the meme fo bringing her out as an example of destroying the legal system for individuals to fight back against corporations. I didn't know half of that Stella story before he recited what really went down, and that upon appeal, she barely got enough to pay her medical bills.

He also has a very un-bigoted chapter about illegal immigration, and lays the blame squarely where it belongs, the corporations that hire illegals for cheap labor in the first place.

I thought it was great.
