Dear Friends,

Three weeks ago we sent out an email to some of you asking that you help us fund an ad in the New York Times. We can never thank you enough for how you came through. Within a week we had the funds, and on October 10 our full-page ad made headlines around the world. Two days later Draft Gore was mentioned in every major story about Al Gore winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Last Friday our website got an astounding 100,000 hits and our mailing list doubled.

Today we ask you to take a few super-urgent actions in the final weeks of this historic campaign. Please read, act, and forward this to all your friends today. It's now or never. The presidency of the United States is at stake.

Help us run a television ad

We never dreamt this would be within our reach. It is. We now have the funds to produce the ad - but not to run it. Your contribution will help us play it to key markets. Click here to make a contribution.

1. It's a waste of money - He won't run

Your whole movement is an exercise in futility. Better to use the money to help whomever of the real candidates is nominated than to throw it away this way.

2. Sorry, giving mine to The Alliance for Climate Protection
Their ad campaign for the planet is the one that really matters now. And I sure hope these draft people don't plan on using his Nobel Peace Prize win to prop themselves up. That would just be so opportunistic and smarmy, but of course not surprising.

3. If a TV ad is what makes the difference, he's not the man I think he is.
He has to WANT to run. And if he does, I'll be there.

4. They obviously have not read The Assault On Reason
Thirty second soundbite ads were one of his chief complaints about this system and I am sure he would not fall for them. For me, saving this planet for future generations is also far more important than their desire to see a Gore/Clinton grudge match, which is all it would deteriorate into in the media if he ever chose that route. If it is truly in every fiber of his being and in his heart and soul, he will do it himself. Otherwise to continue to try to force him into something when it is apparent he has chosen his path is to me downright rude.
