Ok folks here is the problem
Stark called it as it is... the Emperor has no clothes

And we have the feeding frenzy as to how wrong he is\was

Folks this is essentially the problem

The other side gets away with anything

But our people are told to be meek

NOW THINK

How do you thik that plays wiht the voters?

Think of GOP strong

DEM Weak

This is why he has to stick to his guns

And if the party censures him

They once again, let the other side frame the debate.

7. very good points-
I don't advocate the use of strong language for the hell of it-

But Rep. Stark spoke very directly to what IS wrong with this country and who holds the power.

It wasn't a character assisination.

And he has nothing to apologize for.

Didn't rove or cheney say something like "the Democrats want to offer the terrorists therapy"? or something like that???

Kind of hits on your point very well-
:hi:

39. And if they don't agree with Stark
Then they should just STFU.

They seem to have this pathological NEED to criticize other Dems who ARE taking stands in order to look "non-confrontational".

Some Dems are more afraid of Faux News than they are of their own constituents.

65. If they don't agree with Stark, they ought to just say so and stand by their own words.
If some of the Democrats in Congress don't agree with what Stark said, then they are welcome to call their own press conference and say what they do believe. It's none of their business what Stark said.

23. Been mulling over this, myself
Our "leaders" are unwilling to take a definite stand on anything, unwilling for force any issue. They are unwilling to stand up and speak, much less act. In just the last two days, Dodd went from "who?" in my mind, to a front runner. Why? because he DID SOMETHING. I've never heard of Stark before yesterday. But I want to buy him a beer. Hell, a lifetime supply of beer. Not because of what he said, but just the fact he said it, and that he's not crawling to lick someone's shoes in apology for it.

I'm tired of watching triangulation and apology. I'm tired of watching our candidates carry the water for Republicans for fear of alienating someone. They want to call it bipartisanship, but does America really need bipartisan governance when one of the parties is a proven enemy to the American people?

How long do they think America will be content to watch?

34. This comes after
brilliantly pissing off the Turks AND the Armenians in one fell swoop of sidebar weakness and weird miscalculation. Had there been any clever sense to that brave bill speaking out in behalf of injustice with the victims beyond help since 1915 it was lost in surrender to Bush's inane but easy counterpoint. A softball gift worthy of any DC press lapdog.

SO it might do well for the assumed leadership of the Congress to stick to their mirrors for a while before criticizing someone who is relevant and sticks to his guns and only pisses off jerks who are incapable of voting Democratic. Just who do the professional party leaders represent? What do the represent? What is their duty? Where do their signatory passions lie besides their flower gardens and outrageously simple child care bills that they cannot move their "respected colleagues" on for a single inch of compromise?

Stark's moderation is to be noted in not aiming his stark comments at the Dem House leadership itself.

37. There's nothing inherently 'wrong' w/ sweeping generalizations per se,
it's when they're written virtually undecipherable and unintelligible. Generalizations aren't de facto untrue, nor unwise per se, but if you look @ the past, it has inevitably led to much needless confusion and unpleasantness in human society.

slinking off with their tails tucked between their legs like they just pissed on the carpet. That's how every loss and compromised semi-victory is framed by the MSM. Dems have to toughen up and speak out and stop thinking that the RePukes will EVER work WITH them.

To this point, although frustrated and angry at times, I've refrained from negative comments about Pelosi and Reid ... however, they will lose any remaining confidence I have if they continue down this path of impotence.
